These are the 8 core beliefs that we build on everyday. 

One. Quality is non-negotiable. Not as a policy. As a habit built over decades. If a batch isn’t right, it doesn’t leave the roastery.

Two. The craft never stops teaching. Twenty-six years in, I’m still learning.  I pair traditional roasting instincts with modern data collection because precision and intuition aren’t opposites — they’re partners.

Three. You deserve to know where your coffee comes from. Where possible, I trace every bean back to its source. All of our coffees are Ethically sourced, most are Organically grown. Transparency isn’t a marketing word at Otto — it’s the way we work.

Four. Consistency is its own art form. Great coffee isn’t an accident. It’s the result of thousands of small decisions made correctly, over and over again.

Five. People make the coffee possible. Every coffee we buy is Ethically Sourced from farmers that care about the quality they deliver. Each person at Otto has a passion for the craft of coffee and cares about the quality of your experience with us, no matter how brief. 

Six. Every cup is a decision. Our drinks aren’t defaults. Each one is built around a specific flavor profile, crafted to show what our roasts can do at their best. We make our own syrups with pure sugar, vanilla beans and roasted hazelnuts. We do not sell blender drinks, cold foam or artificially flavored coffees.

Seven. Binghamton is where we belong. We have never chased trends but Otto is always evolving to be the best craft based coffee company we can – here at 178 State Street.

Eight. Legacy is earned one roast and at a time. 50,000 loads of coffee roasted by hand to the highest quality standards. We have a cult like following of hundreds of customers spanning decades. 26 years in the the business, and counting!
